We are KCC registered for childcare vouchers so ALL 3-4 year olds and some eligible 2 year olds can get 15 hours of free nursery a week with us.
We also offer the 30 hours government funding for eligible 3-4 year olds.
Snug Bugs makes full use of our enclosed garden with a giant boat-shaped sandpit, water play, a digging and gardening area, sand kitchen, play houses and a variety of garden toys.
Children participate in development-appropriate activities designed to help them get the best start in life.
The home area is equipped with a mini dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and oven with brilliant sound effects so the children can create their own little home for the dolls.
Each child is assigned a key carer who will work closely with your child as well as yourself to ensure that the transition to nursery is as smooth as possible for your child. The key carer will also complete regular observation, assessments and tracking on your child to ensure that they are supported to achieve their full potential.
Each morning the children are separated into small groups with their key carer. This provided a great opportunity for the key carer to develop their key child's skills and take part in more in depth activities to further support each child's development whilst keeping it fun and incorporating the children's individual interests.
Our ratio of children to adults is always within Ofsted guidelines and often we try to make the ratio even lower so there are more staff members to children to ensure every child receives top quality care.
We nurture and support toddlers to grow into happy, well-rounded individuals with a good grasp of life skills including sharing, our children are also encouraged to help to clean up the mess at the end of an activity or session to help them to appreciate their surroundings.
We use an electronic learning journal called "Tapestry" which we include daily diaries, videos, pictures and observations of each child.
Due to the fact it is electronic it means that families are free to browse their child's learning journal from the comfort of their own home as well as creating a wonderful opportunity to view pictures and videos with your child to encourage them to share their experiences of their day at Snug Bugs.
Get in touch if you have any questions or queries regarding our setting and the sessions etc. we provide, we are also happy to arrange a time for you and your child to visit!
We are more than happy to see what we can do to help and provide the best care possible!
